Big Snake....Real Big!

I was just going through some old emails that some friends sent me like 2 years ago (OMG I actually kept them!!!!) and found this intersting email....just looking at the 2nd picture gives me goosebumps...

Seems a sheep farmer was puzzled about the disappearance of some sheep on his farm. After a few weeks the farmer decided to put up an electric fence.

About a week later, this is what he found...

Now, I know we've all heard of people being eaten by snakes & I bet most of us have said, 'If a snake tried to eat me, I'd blah, blah, blah & get away.'

Well, this is a Python & they're extremely aggressive & have a few teeth that they use to hold their prey while they wrap around them & then constrict.

Could you get away if this one bit you & held on with it's 'few teeth?' (Note: The wires are 10 inches apart.)

What a multi millionaire thinks

NOT A STORY BUT A TRUE INCIDENT

An Indian man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer.
He tells the loan officer that he is going to India on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Indian man hands over the keys and documents of new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Indian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Indian returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41.

The loan officer says, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow "$5,000" ?

The Indian replies:

"Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"

Breathing Therapy

The nose has a left and a right side; we use both to inhale and exhale.

Actually they are different; you would be able to feel the difference.

The right side represents the sun, left side represents the moon.

During a headache, try to close your right nose and use your left nose to breathe. In about 5 Mins, your headache will go?

If you feel tired, just reverse, close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is refreshed.

Right side belongs to 'hot', so it gets heated up easily, left side belongs to 'cold'.

It is said that most females breathe with their left noses, so they get "cooled off" faster. Most of the guys breathe with their right noses, they get worked up. (I doubt so actually....)

Do you notice the moment we wake up, which side breathes faster? Left o! r right? ?

If left is faster, you will feel tired. So, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refreshe d quickly.

This can be taught to kids, but it is more effective when practiced by adults.

I receive an email from a friend telling me about his friend using the "Breathing Theraphy":

My friend used to have bad headaches and was always visiting the doctor.

There was this period when he suffered headache literally every night, unable to study.

He took painkillers, did not work.

He decided to try out the breathing therapy here: closed his right nose and breathed through his left nose.

In less than a week, his headaches were go! ne! He continued the exercise for one month.

This alternative natural therapy without medication is something that he has experienced.

So, why not give it a try? =D

AFAX - 2010

Bought the AFAX 2010 tix for the boyz....At first I was gonna join them for the Anieme Festival Asia 2010 - I LOVE Anisong at Suntec Hall 402, however Da decided that we are not going this year hence I only got the boyz their tickets.....

So why am I there? LOL...I am the delivery girl...damn funny right? sigh....

Since I was the one buying the tix I decided to take a picture of it before passing to them...LOL....

Best picture I have taken through out the whole event is the sigh... omg...I don't know what happened to me or the camera...no sexy girls pics cos they are all so blur...sigh...

This little girl is so cute...I was wondering who she is trying to cosplay as...."Candy"?

This "couple" is very interesting, the one dressed as the lady is actually a guy...when "she" see me trying to take picture, "she" demurely covered "her" face with the fan...

This pair of twins is the best...I had to chase them from ground level all the way to 2nd level to get their pictures...worst part of it is some one's trying to interview them when I tried to take a picture for them...waited a long while and finally interrupted the interview to get them to pose for me before I leave them...

Sadly I did not go into the event hall to see the exhibition...too rush...Luckily I took some pictures...Happy =)

Losing an amazing friend

My friend, Jun Hui passed away on tuesday and he is only 31 years old...

Feels so sad about it...I cried so much when I called my friends to inform them...Ziyi who was at the hospital when Jun Hui left was so sad that he could not go for the wake cos he is getting married...

What shocked me so much is that Jun Hui is only 31 years old and he died of stroke...how can such a nice, friendly and helpful person die so early?!??? He has a wife who's so soft spoken and gentle...a wonderful mum and a serious and sucessful dad...the sister is another kind soul...also a little bro who's like only 17 years old this year...

I was sitting at the wake and sharing with his dad and wife how amazing Jun Hui is....of cos I do still remember how weird he can be...always bringing so many things in his bag....I couldn't resist but asked him before how come he bring so much things to school...his answer was typical guy's answer..."oh cos I am lazy to pack my bag so I bring everything..."

Anyway he is so amazing....cos of all people he always remembers your birthday...he is the kind that will always be there to help you if you need help...I told his wife and dad that even though I am not so close to him...I am very very sure that if I ever need help from him...and ask him for help...he will never say no...he will just help you without any second thoughts....He is this kind of person...simply amazing person...the kind of person who will leave foot prints in your life...someone who makes a difference...and he really makes an effort to do things for people...

I would say that he is one of those that makes our class so interesting...the symbol of our class is of cos Jun Hui (sleeping beauty), Sherman (The singer), our four muskteer - Don, Ramesh, Benedict and also Ming Hui. Of cos there is our Terence, who drove his dad's car to our school and scared the hell out of our teachers...

Cos of Jun Hui, I found out that Don also passed away...he died in an accident in Australia, also another interesting person....Sigh...2 shocking news in one day...Don had passed away for at least 6 years before we found out about it...

Sigh...

Foot Prints in your Life

I was just talking to one of my colleague about people who leaves foot prints in your life and came across this very nice verse:-

An Angel wrote:
Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

Do you ever leave foot prints in others life?

Read on below is a very nice story about someone who'd impressed life in a very simple manner...a friend of mine actually sent it to me...

Breakfast at McDonald's

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree.

The last class I had to take was Sociology.

The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.

Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.

I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning.

It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.

We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did.

I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men.

As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling'

His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched f or acceptance....

He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching..

The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation.

I held my tears as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted.

He said, 'Coffee is all Miss' because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes..

That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray.

I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.

He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.'

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you.. God is here working through me to give you hope.'

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son.... When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope..'

We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers.

That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand..

I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it.

Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?'

I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.

She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son, the instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:

UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to

LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS -
NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

Flew to China - Hai Kou

I had the best ride to China on Tiger Airways to Hai Kou...First I thought we were being delayed as the air line suddenly informed us that we are suppose to change to gate 9 instead of gate 2 which we were at first assigned to....OMG the gates were really far apart =(

Anyway I was given the best seat at the window...when I looked out of the window I was thinking "oh no, next to the engine sure very noisy" and amazingly the whole flight I did not hear any noise or feel nauseous...I guess the traveler's hand wrist that I bought does help...

I slept most of the time in the plane as I did not sleep the whole day...Have been packing the whole night or rather packing till 5am...my flight was at 735am and that I have to reach the airport at around 530am but I kinda reached there only by 610am...

When we touched down I was thinking KQ's and his dad will be there to pick us up but they were late LOL...they had to take a coach for 3 hours just to get to the airport...I wanted to take pictures and to my greatest horror...sigh....I did not bring my digital camera with me!!! Guess no picture for the trip then....sigh....

Later we checked in to a hotel that KQ's dad prefers when he comes down to hai kou to do business...we were given a room that has a computer and I finally can sit down to blog about the start of the trip...but I could not do it since most of google.com was being blocked by China....LOL....

After resting for around 10 mins we went for lunch and KQ's dad got a friend to bring us out to shopping....we were being brought to the wholesale center...omg I have not walked to so many shops in one day...all the shops were closed together...we kinda like walked for 6 hours and I did not find anything I like...there were too many things to see!!!!

Saturday we will be traveling to Hong Kong via Shen Zhen...hopefully I will be able to get the kind of instant camera in HK =D

Singapore NDP 2010

This is the only year that I did not get any NDP ticket for the past 5 years. Every year after I got the tickets something will happen that I will not get to go for the day itself....

This year, being extremely healthy and I had the most excellent time watching NDP live on the 52 inch TV at home LOL...(you can smell the sourness in me) How I wish I could join the crowd at padang!

Extremely impressed by the NDP this year...1st of all it being at Padang...my bro was telling me that there's sure to be show of hardware...and without fail...yes!! The showcase to our nation's armed forces was excellent! Round of applause!

As we were watching the parading party going pass, I was paying most attention to the NDU diver in his gears....OMG! He was actually dripping water! Well done!!! Cool way to show case our divers! Rather then making them stand like idiots...they are really life size demo of what they are doing =) so cool!

The best part of NDP of cos is the "air show", even though it might be a little similar or rather the same every year...it is still the best! I found a few very wonderfully taken picture from hardwarezone.com, the photographers good man! Angle, position etc, wow! really nice! Especially the background with the merlion....you can see lots of pple trying to take a shot too...

OMG the fireworks this year is extremely interesting...throughout the celebration you can see lots and lots of fireworks...there are fireworks shot from the different buildings around...suntec, occbc etc (I just hope I could remember the buildings that the commentator said) Anyway I find it totally great that even though I was at home I could see the hard work and effort that was placed for this year's NDP!

Look at the firework pictures! They are really pretty (got them from hardwarezone.com again, go to the link you can see more fireworks there!)

Well DONE SINGAPORE and HAPPY 45th Birthday!!!

Are you drinking too much water?

I never know that taking more water can cause problem...a friend send me this but its a very old news....posted on THE NEW PAPER on 22 Nov 2007...wow...

In the paper its states that a 26 year old lady drinks 7 litres of water a day to "detoxify and reduce her blood pressure.

But she fainted after continuing the habbit for 3 months and doctors said that her condition is known as "chronic water intoxication"

The amount of water was 3 times more then the recomended daily intake.

I also thought that the more water you drink the better it is for your body! But accoring the the news report, too much water consume causes hyponatremia, a condition where there is insufficient sodium in the blood.

As a result of the extra intake of water, it has caused the lady who is not named to have swelled brain cells and in turn leading to increase of pressure in her brain.

It is said by Dr Jiang "The sodium in our blood maintains our cell metabolism rate. But once you drink too much water, the sodium ions will decrease, causing the brain cells to swell"

Drinking water is good, but we must remember too much of something is always no good....

Here's a list of timings that a friend of mine mailed to me:

Correct timing to drink water, will maximize its effectiveness on the Human body.
Two (02) glass of water - After waking up - Helps activate internal organs
One (01) glasses of water - 30 minutes before meal - Help digestion
One (01) glass of water - Before taking a bath - Helps lower blood pressure
One (01) glass of water - Before sleep - To avoid stroke or heart attack

Another Tree Falling - Sadly a Man Killed

Driver killed when tree falls during heavy downpour
Posted on 20 July 2010 By Sona Remesh

Strong winds and heavy rains Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of one driver.

A 32-year old man was killed when a tree fell and crushed the car he was in, at the junction of Thomson Hills Drive and Yio Chu Kang Road.

The tree was uprooted at the base, dragging along some parts of the drain by the roadside.

The tree was removed at around 4.45pm.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the car was badly damaged.

Rescuers took about 20 minutes to remove the victim's body with hydraulic spreader-cutters. The driver had suffered injuries to his spine.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. No one else was in the car

An NParks spokesperson said there were strong winds at the time of the accident.

According to NParks, the wind at the time of the accident today was as high as 65km/h.

The National Parks Board also added it will be inspecting other trees in the area - a move welcomed by residents.

One resident, businessman S L Chua, said: "It's sad (that) this incident has killed someone, I hope they have more stringent inspections and they look at the whole canopy of the tree. Because the canopy is so heavy, if its slanting to one side, sooner or later the whole tree will come down, especially with the strong and heavy winds nowadays."

CEO of NParks, Mr Ng Lang said the 35-40 year old raintree was last pruned in January, as part of routine pruning to reduce the weight of the crown.

He added that the tree was likely uprooted due to a weather phenomenon known as a microburst.

This is a localised, powerful descending air draft column that produces damaging winds at high speed, and is known to knock down fully grown trees.

"NParks is deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident. Our priority now is to extend assistance to the family of the deceased," he said.

In a separate incident, another tree fell at nearby Tagore Lane.

Police had to cordon off the section of Upper Thomson Road, after its junction with Yio Chu Kang Road.

No injuries were recorded.

Tuesday's incidents come after National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan said some 240 trees fell in June alone.

This is about 170 per cent higher compared to the same month last year, due largely to the adverse weather.

Mr Mah said this in a written reply to a query by MP Baey Yam Keng on Monday, July 19.

I was shocked when my friends was telling me about it during breakfast...Published on THE NEWPAPER was a man (at the scene of the fallen tree) shocked and staring at the car. My heart dropped when I see the baby chair and pram that is being brought out of the car by SCDF.

This so call ACT OF GOD took away a young father's life and also at the same time, the life of a husband. But is it really an Act of GOD? The rain tree is about 35 to 45 years of age, the roots to the ground should be very strong and deep into the ground...however, according to the witnesses who lives around the neighbourhood, they were concern about the "posture" of trees around the neighbourhood after the recent "storms". How can these trees be so fragile and lopsided? Shouldn't NParks be in charge of the "well being" of these trees? Why are trees that are lopsided not dealt with?

I really wonder how are the people affected by the recent floods etc...going to have their damages compensated.

Nearly Picked Pocketed

My parent in law is back to Singapore hence my sis in law decided to bring them out for dinner....

Da and I tagged along and we went to a place that is very near to Geylang....Jen suggested that we can have durian after that at geylang area and hmmmm....I thought that was great idea since I have not had durian this year at all....or I can't remember if I had durain at all....LOL...but end up my MIL (mum in law) wanted to go to mustafa to get a small recorder so we ended up having durain at a small stall next to the food place...took a few pictures at the stall...we really looked like tourist LOL since we were taking pictures at the durian stall! LOL...

After dinner, Da and I decided to go to the bean curd stall to have bean curd...so we tried and walk to the stall...being myself I totally have no idea how to walk there and guess what....we actually walked from behind geylang MRT and ended up at the stall without realizing it....OMG what an amazing thing...

Da kept insisting that they actually have lotus seed added in their bean curd and tried to order for that...end up the server told us that they only have peanut ones....LOL....end up Da still did not get his lotus seed bean curd....LOL...I wonder where he actually had it before....

Anyway after having bean curd we decided to walk around geylang's "interesting" places...So we walked around the places that have red color numbers...according to Da these red colored houses are where the "chicks" are working...there are different prices to them...We saw 2 ladies walking in front of us and followed them to the smaller lanes...one of the girls was wearing something like a sweater material and she was obviously not wearing anything below...her dress was so short and also her "V" in front was all the way down and basically you can see her tits sticking and "at attention"....really revealing dress...very flattering dress for her...and I saw motorist pausing to look at them...really swaying towards them with heads turning....omg...we walked pass some very strange places...I could see "gambling den"...some Chinese standing at tables with a lot of people surrounding them...at first I thought they were selling things...but I quickly realized that they are actually not selling stuff but they were actually "bankers"....there will be one person standing behind the table...and the rest are standing around the tables placing bets....there's even a guy standing out of the group looking out for them...as I was walking pass the shops....I found that there are people selling cigarettes and they are real cheap...I think they are illegal...they are real cheap...every few steps I walk I could see a person standing in front of some cigarettes asking people if they wanna buy...

After the short "tour" in the red light district, we kind of head towards the MRT...it is near the Singapore post that Da suggested that he will help me carry my bag...cos he was feeling weird that some of the guys were closing up on me...I guess and I thought they were trying to squeeze through the crowd in a hurry...I told Da..."No la I scared you lose my things" thinking that its better that I carry my own stuff with caution...then zipped up my bag before I cross the road...when I reach the end of the traffic light I decided to use my phone and I realized that my bag's zip was open...omg...I can feel a Chinese man staring at me...I know that guy's part of the group that were trying to steal from me...and Da's very sure there were more then one person at this "stealing project"...OMG that was so scary...Must be extremely careful when you go to geylang...real scary experience...

Life is so unpredictable

Bought a new PC from Fuwell this weekend...have been having my PC made there for the past 5 years...their service is great and also the price is reasonable...

Happily bought all the parts and went to the side of the shop to wait for the PC to be fixed...realised that Uncle Jack is not around...

When I go to Simlim I will confirm go over to the side of Fuwell to say hi to Uncle Jack...he is always so fun to talk to...can be a but fierce and naggy when he wants to be...but generally he's very nice to me especially...Still remember him scolding me for wanting to change my graphics card when it's still working properly...."Waste money!" he said...lol...

"Eh! Where is the uncle with moustache", I asked casually, "is he on leave?" I never know he will take leave...everytime I go to Fuwell he will be there...

To my greatest shocked...the guy just said..."He passed away" My jaw dropped when he said that...Uncle Jack looks so healthy even though he's very old already...but he is like so tough looking!

We just saw him like 2 weeks ago when I brought Annie's PC down to repair! OMG...

"He fell sick last week and after a week of coma, he just pass away, this afternoon's the last day of the funeral" the guy from Fuwell said. "Ya lor he is always so healthy, plays badminton every week somemore" OMG!

I cannot believe it....

This whole incident really teaches me something...Life is really unpredictable...one week the person you most treasured is around...the very next week the person might be gone...

I guess we really must treasure your love ones...

Power Over Cervical Cancer campaign

Do you know that Cervical Cancer can be vaccinated against?

This month, Power Over Cervical Cancer (POCC) will be rallying for the support of bloggers to help raise awareness for the only vaccine-preventable cancer.

Thanks to Nuffnang, I get to learn about the campaign to protect all the women namely, Power Over Cervical Cancer (POCC)...Cervical Cancer is really a cancer of neglect. Although Cervical Cancer is the only female cancer that can be prevented, however, only two percent of Singapore's women are vaccinated against this fatal disease.

Support the POCC Now! Give your pledge at www.POCC.sg/pledge to support this cause!

So what is cervical cancer?

A woman's cervix is located at the lower part of the womb and consists of millions of tiny cells. Sometimes, changes can occur in these cells. In many cases, the cells spontaneously recover. However, in some cases, these changes in the cells develop into cancer. Cervical cancer can be prevented if these precancerous changes are detected and treated.

According to Health Promotion Board (Singapore):

Cervical cancer is the 5th most common cancer among Singaporean women. Every year, about 200 women are detected with cervical cancer and about 100 die from the disease.

The incidence of cervical cancer in Singapore has declined from 18.1 in 1968 to 10.6 per 100,000 women in 2002. Among the three major ethnic groups in Singapore , Chinese has the highest incidence rate of 11.5 per 100,000 women per year, followed by the Malays and Indians at 7.4 and 6.1 per 100,000 women respectively.

You can find out more information about Cervical Cancer by visiting www.pocc.sg

Do you know that?

1) A pap smear.
Cervical Cancer can take anytime from 10-20 years to develop but before that, pre-cancer cells develop and CAN be detected by a Pap smear. A pap smear can help detect any abnormality. This is really important as detection in the early stages can help prevent cancer. Cervical cancer CAN be treated if detected early.

2) A HPV vaccination

A Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination helps stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies that protect against HPV types which causes cancer.
What can you do about it?
1.) Start with YOURSELF
2.) Go for Pap smears every 1-3years and protect yourself with a Cervical Cancer vaccination.
3.) Consult your family doctor on getting vaccinated against Cervical Cancer or you may also go to www.pocc.sg to check out a list of doctors that provide this.

Power Over Cervical Cancer is a campaign that aims to make Singapore the country with the lowest incidence of Cervical Cancer and they need your help to spread the word. Pledge your support for this cause and protect those you care about by telling them about Cervical Cancer. Together, we have POWER Over Cervical Cancer. Click the button below to begin!

Is Remember me based on true story?

Title: Remember Me

Is "Rememeber me" based on true story?

Ans: The writer of the screenplay for "Remember Me", Will Fetters, says that the story is not based on a true story.

Directed By: Allen Coulter

Starring: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Ruby Jerins, Tate Ellington

We can’t expect every movie to be good, but there’s nothing worse than walking out of a theater downright angry. Overall, Remember Me is rather boring at some parts, but manages to squeeze in a few powerful moments making it very worthwhile.

Edward Cullen, (remember twilight??) - Robert Pattinson leads as Tyler, an NYU student who’s undecisive - about everything. He adores his young sister, Caroline (Ruby Jerins), but struggles with his father’s (Pierce Brosnan) negligence.

During one of his outbursts, a noble effort goes wrong and Tyler assaults a cop (Chris Cooper) earning him and his best pal, Aidan (Tate Ellington), a night in prison. When Aidan sees this cop dropping his daughter, Ally (Emilie de Ravin) off outside an NYU building, he sees it as an opportunity to seek some revenge. He dares Tyler to approach her and when he does, a harmless gag becomes a budding relationship.

Ally witnessed the fatal shooting of her mother when she was young. Ever since, her father blames himself for the incident. An alcohol induced mishap, which prevents Ally from phoning home to inform daddy that she’ll be spending the night out. When she returns home the next morning, he lashes out and she flees into Tyler’s arms.

The dialogue is natural, but predictable creating a desperation to get the show on the road. Remember Me does have its moments. The connection that’s far more memorable is that between Tyler and Caroline.

Not only are the scenes shared between Pattinson and Jerins the most effective instances, they lend Pattinson’s character a very necessary softness. His passion for his sister’s happiness transpires to his lack of ardor towards his father. Brosnan does stern and heartless quite well enhancing Pattinson’s more emotional outbursts. The two share a particularly compelling moment after Brosnan’s character backs out of Caroline’s art show.

You will love the story even more because of the ending. Some critics had mentioned that "anything Remember Me accomplishes is lost thanks to an insultingly inappropriate ending.....All this event’s insertion accomplishes is ruining the movie’s few achievements and leaving viewers in disgust." However, I beg to defer, this movie is a sure twister for all who watch it. I believe it’s an epic of the title remember me. This is a movie in which everyone can learn from and take something from it. Your mind will be touched and your heart will sink.

Sadly the story is not based on a true story. I had assumed otherwise. "Wasn't it based on the journal that Tyler Hawkins was writing?" No???!!! What a waste...

Do you know? - You must air the car before switching on the Air Condition?

Do you know? - You must air the car before switching on the Air Condition?

Any new car's booklet specifically states that one should open car windows for 5 minutes + to air the car before switching on the Air Condition I wondered why.

No wonder more folks are dying from cancer than ever before. We wonder where this stuff comes from but here is an example that explains a lot of the cancer causing incidents. Hmmm. Many people are in their cars first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, 7 days a week.

As I read this, it makes me feel guilty and ill. Please pass this on to as many people as possible. Guess its not too late to make some changes Car A/C (Air Conditioning) MUST READ!!!

Please do NOT turn on A/C as soon as you enter the car.

Open the windows after you enter your car and turn ON the AC after a Couple of minutes.

Here's why:

According to a research, the car dashboard, sofa, air freshener emit Benzene, a Cancer causing toxin (carcinogen - take time to observe the Smell of heated plastic in your car).

In addition to causing cancer, Benzene poisons your bones, causes anemia ad reduces white blood cells.

Prolonged exposure will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer.

Can also cause miscarriage.

Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. Ft. A car parked indoors with windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benzene.

If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benzene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level.

People who get into the car, keeping windows closed will inevitably Inhale, n quick succession, excessive amounts of the toxin..

Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver.. What's worse, it is Extremely difficult for your body to expel this toxic stuff.

So friends, please open the windows and door of your car - give time for Interior to air out -dispel the20deadly stuff - before you enter.

Jokes: Knowing scripture can save your life

A woman had just returned to her home from an evening of church
services, when she was startled by an intruder. She caught the man in the
act of robbing her home of its valuables and yelled: 'Stop! Acts 2:38!'
(Repent and be Baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins
may be forgiven.)

The burglar stopped in his tracks. The woman calmly called the police and
explained what she had done.

As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar: 'Why
did you just stand there? All the old lady did was yell a scripture to
you.'

'Scripture?' replied the burglar. 'She said she had an Ax and Two 38s!'

Send this to someone who needs a laugh today and remember: Knowing
scripture can save your life - in more ways than one!

View rmvb movie with .srt sub file

I have been trying to show sub titles for RMVB files with srt and found of cos from our best friend google.com...

You gotta install 2 things Real Alternative and DirectVobSub:

Real Alternative

You do need a player that is capable of playing RealMedia. The included Media Player Classic supports it and works very well. Supported: RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil), RealText (.rt), ReadPix (.rp), RealMedia embedded in webpages. .smi and .smil files sometimes only play the first part of a clip. This is a limitation of the current Media Player Classic. The RealMedia Browser plugin supports Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape and Mozilla.

Some advantages compared to RealPlayer :

- Quick and easy install
- It's easy to make an unattended installation
- Proper uninstallation
- No background processes
- Use a player of your own choice
- Low on resources
- No advertising, no registration forms, nothing annoying

Limitations :

- .smi and .smil files only play the first part of a clip. This is only a problem when the clip consists of multiple parts. These files are not very common. These files do play correctly when embedded in a browser.
- The RealMedia DirectShow splitter does not work with streaming content. You must use the included Media Player Classic to play streaming content.

Features of Real Alternative 2.0.2 :

- Media Player Classic [version 6.4.9.1-107]
- RealMedia Codecs [version 12.0.0.301]
- RealMedia plugin for Internet Explorer
- RealMedia plugin for Opera/Mozilla/Netscape/Google Chrome
- RealMedia DirectShow splitter [version 1.3.1268.0]

Features of Real Alternative 2.0.2 Lite :

- RealMedia Codecs [version 12.0.0.301]
- RealMedia plugin for Internet Explorer
- RealMedia plugin for Opera/Mozilla/Netscape/Google Chrome
- RealMedia DirectShow splitter [version 1.3.1268.0]

The only difference between the regular and lite versions is that the lite version does not include Media Player Classic.

Real Alternative Lite allows you to play RealMedia files in all DirectShow enabled players. Without this filter RealMedia files can only be played in Media Player Classic. This filter only works with files that are on your harddrive. It does NOT work with streaming content. Therefore it is highly recommended to use Media Player Classic, because MPC does support streaming content.

Changes in Real Alternative 2.0.2 :

- Updated Media Player Classic to version 6.4.9.1 rev. 107
- Minor changes
• Real Alternative 2.0.1
- Updated Media Player Classic to 6.4.9.1 rev. 104
- Updated RealMedia codecs to 12.0.1.301
- Updated RealMedia Browser plugin to 12.0.1.301
- Updated RealMedia DirectShow splitter to 1.3.1268.0
- The RealMedia Browser plugin now also works with Internet Explorer 8
- Minor fixes and improvements

You can download the player at http://www.free-codecs.com/Real_Alternative_download.htm

DirectBobSub

Changes in DirectVobSub (VSFilter) 2.39 [2008-08-28] :

- VSFilter: Improved performance with handling the \be tag.
- VSFilter: Fixed freeze that occurred with the combination MPC + VSFilter + Haali Video Renderer.

How to install DirectVobSub :

If you are unable to install the filter, please read this small guide: How to install/uninstall DLL and AX codec files from Guides section.

You can download DirectVobSub from http://www.free-codecs.com/directvobsub_download.htm

Bigger Natural Breast?

Great news for those who wants to have better breast and does not like the fake plastic stuff in you!!

Stem Cell Breast Enlargement Dooms Flatness

Stem cell therapy now offers the prospect of “naturally” enlarged breasts, free of surgical implants.

The technique involves extracting stem cells from the fat of the stomach or thighs and inserting them into the mammaries, where they join the breast tissue, increasing the size of the breast as a result.

The procedure offers some significant advantages over traditional “augmentation.”

Unlike breasts enhanced with artificial implants, breasts treated with stem cells will feel natural, having the same softness and fluidity as natural breasts due to being constituted of the same mixture of glandular fat and water.

Further, implants often have long-term complications and may require replacements. They can also leak and cause scarring and nerve damage, to say nothing of the risks of failed surgery.

Implanted stem cells also promote the growth of blood vessels, ensuring sufficient blood circulation. Procedures that merely moved fat into a woman’s breasts were problematic to the lack of blood supply to the implanted fat.

The technique was pioneered in Japan, initially to treat women with deformities caused by breast cancer. Recently, the technique has also been used for cosmetic enhancements and has begun clinical trials in Britain.

The stem cell treatment appears currently only to be able to provide modest increases in breast size. While scientists are confident in increases of one cup size, only further research will determine if larger augmentations are possible.

Doctors also caution that the current technique only restores volume but does not provide firmness and lift. Those wishing to avoid unappealing ptosis whilst gaining even more volume will have to wait.

In addition, the process takes several months as the extracted fat is mixed with stem cells in batches and gradually implanted to achieve the desired shape and size.

The procedure is expected to become available in 6 months, costing some £6,500.

OMG with the stem cell technique, breast treated are more natural and of cos with the same softness >.< sadly even though it will restore volume, it will not provide firmness and uplift....

Original post from Sunday Times

A STEM cell therapy offering “natural” breast enlargement is to be made available to British women for the first time.

The treatment could boost cup size while reducing stomach fat. It involves extracting stem cells from spare fat on the stomach or thighs and growing them in a woman’s breasts. An increase of one cup size is likely, with the potential for larger gains as the technique improves.

A trial has already started in Britain to use stem cells to repair the breasts of women who have had cancerous lumps removed. A separate project is understood to be the first in Britain to use the new technique on healthy women seeking breast enlargement.

Professor Kefah Mokbel, a consultant breast surgeon at the London Breast Institute at the Princess Grace hospital, who is in charge of the project, will treat 10 patients from May. He predicts private patients will be able to pay for the procedure within six months at a cost of about £6,500.

“This is a very exciting advance in breast surgery,” said Mokbel. “They [breasts treated with stem cells] feel more natural because this tissue has the same softness as the rest of the breast.” He said the treatment offered the potential of considerable improvement on implants: “Implants are a foreign body. They are associated with long-term complications and require replacement. They can also leak and cause scarring.”

Although the stem cell technique will restore volume, it will not provide firmness and uplift.

Mokbel believes the stem cell treatment may be suitable only for modest increases in breast size, but will conduct research to find out whether larger augmentations can be achieved: “We are optimistic we can easily achieve an increase of one cup size. We cannot say yet if we can achieve more. That may depend on the stem cells we can harvest.”

The cells will be isolated from a woman’s spare fat, once it has been extracted from her thighs or stomach, using equipment owned by GE Healthcare, a technology company. The concentrated stem cells will then be mixed with another batch of fat before being injected into the breast. It takes several months for the breast to achieve the desired size and shape.

Until now, when fat was transplanted to the breast without extra stem cells, surgeons had difficulty maintaining a blood supply to the new tissue. Surgeons believe the double concentration of stem cells under this technique promotes the growth of blood vessels to ensure a sufficient blood supply circulates to the transplanted fat.

The same technique has been used in Japan for six years, initially to treat women with breast deformities caused by cancer treatment and, more recently, for cosmetic breast augmentation in healthy women.

Mokbel is confident the therapy is safe and that, after carrying out about 30 procedures, the London Breast Institute will be able to offer the procedure to private patients.

The use of stem cells in healthy women undergoing cosmetic surgery is controversial. Medical bodies have warned that the breast enlargements should not be offered to healthy women until large-scale trials in cancer patients have shown that the new technology is safe and effective. The treatment is not yet routinely available to women solely for cosmetic purposes.

Eva Weiler-Mithoff, a consultant plastic surgeon at Canniesburn hospital in Glasgow, is leading the British arm of a European trial of stem cell therapy for women who have been left with breast deformities following removal of cancerous lumps.

So far more than a dozen British cancer patients have been treated and Weiler-Mithoff is impressed with the results. She does not believe this justifies offering the treatment to healthy women, however.

She said that while breast cancer patients regularly attend follow-up appointments, young women who have had cosmetic surgery are less likely to do so and complications could be missed.

Couples & their sex life

The NEW Paper

Her body tensed up when hubby wanted sex
Married woman was virgin for 10 years due to sexual condition
By Benson Ang
May 03, 2010

She could not have sex with her husband of 10 years because whenever they tried, her body would tense up.

Melissa (not her real name), 35, suffered from an unusual sexual condition called vaginismus, in which the muscles around the vagina involuntarily tighten, making intercourse painful or impossible.

The Ministry of Health does not track the number of vaginismus cases here, but Professor P. Ganesan Adaikan, clinical sexologist from the National University Hospital, and Dr B. Srilatha, a research fellow at National University of Singapore who specialises in obstetrics and gynaecology, told The New Paper that they see 20 to 30 such cases a year.

The condition has also been documented by Dr V.Atputharajah, an obstetrician and gynaecologist from Mount Alvernia Hospital, who wrote about it in his book Virgin Wives: Women With Unconsummated Marriages.

Melissa solved her problem after meeting with Dr Martha Lee, a clinical sexologist, who proposed a series of treatments, including breathing techniques to make Melissa feel more comfortable with her body.

In less than two weeks, before the third session with Dr Lee, she succeeded in having sex with her husband.

Dr Lee added that the cause of vaginismus is usually psychological. Other doctors we spoke to said this condition can also be treated through education, exercise and surgery.

It seems that such cases are not rare...I heard from a friend that she had a friend who had to go to a doctor just to learn how to have sex. They spent around 10 K on the sessions with the doctor. After the sessions with the doctor, the husband and wife are able to have sex together with no problem.

I guess since our life style had changes drastically...and on top having to keep up with the fast speed society that we have... a lot of young couples might face such difficulty...we should be open to seek help from doctors or even look up on the internet on how to deal with such matters.

Funeral Preparation

Most people will not fight about the cost of Wedding or Funeral...Especially for funeral...Who in the right mind will be negotiating the price when it comes to preparing for funeral?

My friend's dad passed away recently and our group of friends kind of helped out with the funeral a duration of 5 days...

Sadly before that we already prepared and looked for casket companies quotations...Imagine all the different companies we looked for the prices of packages were like at least 5K to have the funeral below at the void deck...Yes funeral package...you would think that only marriage have packages right?

Lucky for us...we managed to get a basic package from Direct Funeral Services to help out for the funeral. I would like to comment that they are really honest people...makes people feel at ease actually...an elderly guy (who help out in catering) appeared one of the days and commented that they try and charge minimal...they don't try to earn from people...usually I see these companies try and squeeze as much as they can from the deceased family...but with the minimal requirement that my friend had requested the funeral package still sums up to 9K...she had asked to have the whole ceremony to be in Buddhism way and with that the package comes with coffin, embalming, lightings, fans, bus for the last day, buffet food for 1 day for 30 people etc...on top of that the extra things that were used during the funeral e.g toilet, toilet paper, stationary, drinks, fridge etc all sums up to around 600 plus!!

Renting for void deck from the town council was like $120, OMG...thats killer...just a simple 5 days event downstairs can drain so much from the living...how can a normal family afford around 10k of expenditure within just 5 days? I would say that the funeral has all the basic that should be covered for a Buddhism funeral but one thing her mum requested that burning of house is important and needs to be done...so that sums up to 1K for the monk chanting service plus joss paper and burning of house...

I always believe that we should not be angry when it comes to funeral...all should be done with due respect to the deceased. However, I was really upset when my friend's uncle came to the wake...firstly he was talking so loudly...then he was telling every one this and that...he was especially reprimanding that since the funeral is done in Buddhism style then burning of houses is not necessary...he added that the casket company is so bad added that in just to earn more money...

How can he say such thing when he did not know what is going on?? OMG its like on the last few days of the funeral already then her uncle came along and make so much noise about such thing...He should have done that in the first place if he is so knowledgeable!!! He should have came on the first day and explained to us about it right!????!!! I hate it when people try and comment when all things are done and fixed (or rather confirmed) Fact is that my friend's mum wanted the house...so just for her peace of mind, my friend decided to have it...what's wrong with it?

If you want to complain…then what makes me? I a Christian?!!?? Helping out in a Buddhist funeral, and since there are joss paper to fold I helped to fold and best part??!! Nobody know how to fold the “wang shen qian”. End up I had to teach everyone how to do it. OMG how ironical….

Things that I can conclude from helping out:

1. No matter how much you have, you gotta do the minimal respect for the deceased.
2. You still have to think about the living. So spend within your means
3. As friends and relative, this is the time that you are needed the most, just help out as much as you can.
4. Please don’t comment too much, as long as the deceased family is happy and feel good about it, there shouldn’t be anything that you should complain about.

It was really tiring since we had to make sure that the stray animals don't come around the wake area, especially near the coffin... I wonder why the casket company can't make the tent in such a way that no animals...or rather nothing can be able to go through the tentage and get to the area where the coffin is being placed? Strange....something I have been puzzled about...

Uncalled for attention on FaceBook

I happened to see a piece of news that my colleague has left opened on my PC.

The news posted on Asiaone.com is as follows:

A*STAR staff condemns dead rider in ECP accident for delay

READERS are outraged by a man who condemned a rider killed in an ECP accident for causing a 45-minute delay and incurring $3 ERP charge.

The man claims to be an A*STAR employee in his Facebook profile.

One reader, Timothy wrote:

"This guy, an A*STAR employee as stated in his Facebook profile, made light of the death of a motorcyclist along East Coast Parkway (ECP) by posting insensitive comments on his Facebook wall.

"He claims that the death of the rider caused him to be delayed by 45 minutes and incurred $3 in ERP charges. "With this as a justification, he condemns the rider to hell -- 'he's probably going to hell because of that,' wrote the user in his Facebook status bar."

Timothy added that the guy did not even have a sense of remorse after being chided by his friends.

"In response to chiding from his friends, the A-Star employee remained self-righteous. 'I can phrase it even more terribly...speeding is the pathway to hell. They need to learn'" he writes.

"The Facebook user goes on to joke about the rider's death by saying, 'the deceased has been granted a long permanent break,' in response to comment asking him to 'give (the deceased) a break.'

"The local riding community at Singapore Bikes Forums is incensed, with a flurry of enraged responses to the Facebook user's statements, which have been uploaded to the site since 11.46pm yesterday.

In another e-mail, reader Ronald wrote:

"This guy made such an uncalled comment on a rider who had an accident and passed away just because of $3 and 45 minutes of his insignificant life.

"It is insulting to the deceased."

All these uncalled for comments is due to technology...2 points of views here...1. Poor guy died of accident’ 2. poor guy got upset frustrated (even though he shouldn't, what’s 45 mins compared to a life?) due to traffic jam.

Imagine a day without technology, you are frustrated and you do not have facebook to vent your frustration...all you can do is to just scream loudly in your car and that’s all > . < nothing will happen...no uncalled for attention, no comments from different people...and most importantly we will not be able to know that there is such a person in this world that gave such comment...

The POWER of technology....or rather power of facebook....

The Power of Compounding

Most of us must be thinking how to earn more money and also how to get more out of the money we have earned through out our life time....

I got this below from a website publised by Richard Russell. Please visit Dow Theory Letters to learn more.

Rich Man, Poor Man (The Power of Compounding)

MAKING MONEY: The most popular piece I've published in 40 years of writing these Letters was entitled, "Rich Man, Poor Man." I have had dozens of requests to run this piece again or for permission to reprint it for various business organizations.

Making money entails a lot more than predicting which way the stock or bond markets are heading or trying to figure which stock or fund will double over the next few years. For the great majority of investors, making money requires a plan, self-discipline and desire. I say, "for the great majority of people" because if you're a Steven Spielberg or a Bill Gates you don't have to know about the Dow or the markets or about yields or price/earnings ratios. You're a phenomenon in your own field, and you're going to make big money as a by-product of your talent and ability. But this kind of genius is rare.

For the average investor, you and me, we're not geniuses so we have to have a financial plan. In view of this, I offer below a few items that we must be aware of if we are serious about making money.

Rule 1: Compounding: One of the most important lessons for living in the modern world is that to survive you've got to have money. But to live (survive) happily, you must have love, health (mental and physical), freedom, intellectual stimulation -- and money. When I taught my kids about money, the first thing I taught them was the use of the "money bible." What's the money bible? Simple, it's a volume of the compounding interest tables.

Compounding is the royal road to riches. Compounding is the safe road, the sure road, and fortunately, anybody can do it. To compound successfully you need the following: perseverance in order to keep you firmly on the savings path. You need intelligence in order to understand what you are doing and why. And you need a knowledge of the mathematics tables in order to comprehend the amazing rewards that will come to you if you faithfully follow the compounding road. And, of course, you need time, time to allow the power of compounding to work for you. Remember, compounding only works through time.

But there are two catches in the compounding process. The first is obvious -- compounding may involve sacrifice (you can't spend it and still save it). Second, compounding is boring -- b-o-r-i-n-g. Or I should say it's boring until (after seven or eight years) the money starts to pour in. Then, believe me, compounding becomes very interesting. In fact, it becomes downright fascinating!

In order to emphasize the power of compounding, I am including this extraordinary study, courtesy of Market Logic, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33306. In this study we assume that investor (B) opens an IRA at age 19. For seven consecutive periods he puts $2,000 in his IRA at an average growth rate of 10% (7% interest plus growth). After seven years this fellow makes NO MORE contributions -- he's finished.

A second investor (A) makes no contributions until age 26 (this is the age when investor B was finished with his contributions). Then A continues faithfully to contribute $2,000 every year until he's 65 (at the same theoretical 10% rate).

Now study the incredible results. B, who made his contributions earlier and who made only seven contributions, ends up with MORE money than A, who made 40 contributions but at a LATER TIME. The difference in the two is that B had seven more early years of compounding than A. Those seven early years were worth more than all of A's 33 additional contributions.

This is a study that I suggest you show to your kids. It's a study I've lived by, and I can tell you, "It works." You can work your compounding with muni-bonds, with a good money market fund, with T-bills or say with five-year T-notes.

Rule 2: DON'T LOSE MONEY: This may sound naive, but believe me it isn't. If you want to be wealthy, you must not lose money, or I should say must not lose BIG money. Absurd rule, silly rule? Maybe, but MOST PEOPLE LOSE MONEY in disastrous investments, gambling, rotten business deals, greed, poor timing. Yes, after almost five decades of investing and talking to investors, I can tell you that most people definitely DO lose money, lose big time -- in the stock market, in options and futures, in real estate, in bad loans, in mindless gambling, and in their own business.

RULE 3: RICH MAN, POOR MAN: In the investment world the wealthy investor has one major advantage over the little guy, the stock market amateur and the neophyte trader. The advantage that the wealthy investor enjoys is that HE DOESN'T NEED THE MARKETS. I can't begin to tell you what a difference that makes, both in one's mental attitude and in the way one actually handles one's money.

The wealthy investor doesn't need the markets, because he already has all the income he needs. He has money coming in via bonds, T-bills, money market funds, stocks and real estate. In other words, the wealthy investor never feels pressured to "make money" in the market.

The wealthy investor tends to be an expert on values. When bonds are cheap and bond yields are irresistibly high, he buys bonds. When stocks are on the bargain table and stock yields are attractive, he buys stocks. When real estate is a great value, he buys real estate. When great art or fine jewelry or gold is on the "give away" table, he buys art or diamonds or gold. In other words, the wealthy investor puts his money where the great values are.

And if no outstanding values are available, the wealthy investors waits. He can afford to wait. He has money coming in daily, weekly, monthly. The wealthy investor knows what he is looking for, and he doesn't mind waiting months or even years for his next investment (they call that patience).

But what about the little guy? This fellow always feels pressured to "make money." And in return he's always pressuring the market to "do something" for him. But sadly, the market isn't interested. When the little guy isn't buying stocks offering 1% or 2% yields, he's off to Las Vegas or Atlantic City trying to beat the house at roulette. Or he's spending 20 bucks a week on lottery tickets, or he's "investing" in some crackpot scheme that his neighbor told him about (in strictest confidence, of course).

And because the little guy is trying to force the market to do something for him, he's a guaranteed loser. The little guy doesn't understand values so he constantly overpays. He doesn't comprehend the power of compounding, and he doesn't understand money. He's never heard the adage, "He who understands interest -- earns it. He who doesn't understand interest -- pays it." The little guy is the typical American, and he's deeply in debt.

The little guy is in hock up to his ears. As a result, he's always sweating -- sweating to make payments on his house, his refrigerator, his car or his lawn mower. He's impatient, and he feels perpetually put upon. He tells himself that he has to make money -- fast. And he dreams of those "big, juicy mega-bucks." In the end, the little guy wastes his money in the market, or he loses his money gambling, or he dribbles it away on senseless schemes. In short, this "money-nerd" spends his life dashing up the financial down-escalator.

But here's the ironic part of it. If, from the beginning, the little guy had adopted a strict policy of never spending more than he made, if he had taken his extra savings and compounded it in intelligent, income-producing securities, then in due time he'd have money coming in daily, weekly, monthly, just like the rich man. The little guy would have become a financial winner, instead of a pathetic loser.

RULE 4: VALUES: The only time the average investor should stray outside the basic compounding system is when a given market offers outstanding value. I judge an investment to be a great value when it offers (a) safety; (b) an attractive return; and (c) a good chance of appreciating in price. At all other times, the compounding route is safer and probably a lot more profitable, at least in the long run.

Fact is I am not surprise about the above mentioned...I am just amazed how we have not done anything about it...

Universal Studio Singapore

Resorts World Sentosa- Universal Studios Singapore

As advertised in the main website:

Enter the thrilling world of movie magic as you “ride the movies®” on roller coasters and other movie-themed attractions. Be dazzled and delighted by an immersive entertainment experience that brings the silver screen to life.

This is the first company event that is being held in Universal Studios Singapore (USS). We were all very excited about our "first time" at USS, I have invited Ann and Da to go with me to USS. Frankly I have been to Universal Studios in US about 3 years ago and really excited to see what they have for us in Singapore.

Once we reached USS, we were being urshered by the friendly staff (WOW everyone of the staff was smiling happily @ us) When we pass the gate they did not check our ticket...So I kept it back into my bag...I got a shock when I can't find my ticket when they checked it like a distant away from the gate...OMG I got such a big scare...Anyway we were being given a wraist tag like all other theme parks...the girl that helped stick the tag around my wraist did it so tight...it's kinda very uncomfortable...I guess the staff should be trained for such minor thing as well...even though its a small thing...you don't want your guest to feel uncomfortable the whole trip right?

I was wondering why everyone was being urshered to the 1st show and realised that it was due to the CEO speach that offically opens the "NIGHT EVENT"...

Actually I am the most disappointed with the first show that was shown...the "pool" (the stage area)was so small, I wonder how they are going to perform the majestic show I remembered...Boooom!!!! So the show started...I waited excitedly...however, the explosion effects was so mild as compared and also on top of that the excitment I felt when I saw the performers appearing was not there...The stage is too small I keep telling myself in my mind...I could still feel the heat near my face when I picture my experience at Universal Studios in US...could it be because it was winter time when I was there?? It might be because it was so cold that I have imagined that the fire is burning so high...

What makes us very disappointed is that the Battlestar Galactica ride is closed!! sigh...actually good for me hee... I don't think I will dare to go up there...

Shrek 4D as I remembered was really good when I saw it in US...however, after the experience @ USS I am totally disappointed with it....Similar to the US Universal Studios, we were brought into a waiting area whereby we are being given a introduction to the 4D show we are going to watch. I could still remember the "realness" experience I had in US, as compared, the conversation that the 3 little pigs and also pinochio had with the mirror was totally not synchronized. It did not feel real at all, the sound system was so bad, I have no feel about the whole experience! I still rememeber the sneezes and spiders crawling, so before water is being sprayed on my face when the characters "sneeze" I have already covered my face. OMG, I feel totally wet and cold...the water they sprayed was too much!! The horse ride experience was even worst, the chairs were shaking so violently the mechanism was so rough and jerking...Sigh...Da keeps telling me they will fine tune it once its fully open....

One of the rides Ancient Egypt - The Mummy (we call it) suddenly had technical problem and those who were lining up to go for the ride were ask to leave...Later outside I heard one of the guy say "someone fall and stuck at the tracks, die la". Wa that was scary...Da went and evedropped on the conversation of the staff and found that in fact someone really fall, but he's ok. Technically what happened we are not sure about it...LOL...Imgaine if the guy that said the person die had gone around telling others about it OMG...I wonder what kind of tales will spin off from this incident...LOL...

Most of the areas were out of bounce to us...We got lost and accidently walked into the Jurassic Park area...After manuvering around slowly around the restricted area, we finally got "caught" by the USS staff and they quickly brought us out of the Jurassic Park...not before I have strolled pass most of the grounds there and feeling scared...The ambience at Jurassic Park is really good, A star experience! Could it be because it was out of bounce that I had that feeling?? LOL...

I guess I will have to wait for a while more before I will go there again...when the whole place is ready to face the world =)

Who the HELL is Steve Jobs?

Steve Jobs was a college dropout when he teamed up with Steve Wozniak in 1976 to sell personal computers assembled in Jobs' garage.

I am sure everyone knows Apple Computers...and the guy that makes it possible is him...

Born: 24 February 1955
Birthplace: San Francisco, California
Best Known As: The co-founder of Apple computers

Steve Jobs is the CEO of Apple, which he co-founded in 1976. Apple is leading the consumer technology world with its revolutionary iPhone and App Store, its family of iPod media players and iTunes media store, and its Mac computers and iLife and iWork application suites. Apple recently introduced the iPad, a breakthrough Internet and digital media device, plus the iBookstore, alongside iTunes and the App Store.

Steve also co-founded and was the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios, which created some of the most successful and beloved animated films of all time including Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars and Ratatouille. Pixar merged with The Walt Disney Company in 2006 and Steve now serves on Disney's board of directors.

How can somebody be so amazing to have founded 2 of the best companies in the world?

Actually what makes me so impressed about this guy is "Steve Jobs' 2005 Stanford Commencement Address"...very inspirational....

You can go to woopidoo.com for a more detailed information of his interesting and amazing life....

iPad - Cool (Just like walking with 4 iPhones)

Coolest invention....but doesn't it sound like iTampons? hee....

No!! No!! No!!! this is not the iPad...LOL

This is the real thing itself:

The iPad has a big and brightly lit screen which offers the viewer something more visually striking than the pocket sized iPhone/iPod Touch. It looks like an over sized iPod =)

What's the most wonderful thing? It has NO CAMERA!!! YEAH!!! LOL...

It has a virtual keyboard software for spreadsheets and word processing....Cool huh? Sounds like a netbook?? Not really....its in between an iPhone and a netbook...The flat, magazine sized device allows users to surf net, send emails, read e-book and also watch movies...

Too bad it does not have USB or SD card slots...thats APPLE right? Sadly no flash capability as yet...and on top of that it does not have a multi-tasking functionality....crucial for users who likes to do lots of things at a time...

Key Features:
Memory: 16, 32 and 64 GB
Processor: 1GHz Apple A4 next-generation chip
Operating System: OS X
Battery life: Up to 10 hours

As Apple head honcho Steve Jobs noted during his talk, the regular iPhone user will be very familiar with the iPad's interface, minus a few quirks. One is that, with all that extra space, native iPad apps like YouTube Videos and Maps get a bit more complicated. Searching for locations on the iPhone feels intuitive; doing the same on the iPad will take some reconditioning.

More straightforward apps, like watching movies downloaded through iTunes, managing e-mail, calendars and adjusting settings do a damn good job of offering a lot more visual information onscreen at once.

Another quirk is the software keyboard, which does not "fix" the iPhone's keyboard woes simply by being bigger. I was still hunting and pecking, seemingly at a slower pace than on an iPhone, and making plenty of mistakes. The most frustrating change was the placement of the delete button. I've become accustomed to its placement on the iPhone, just to the right of the "M" key. The delete button is now situated in the upper right, the SHIFT key in its place, like a standard keyboard.

The keyboard/dock accessory works just like a mini Apple keyboard does, letting iPad users bypass the need for onscreen typing. The implementation of the keyboard is fine, with a handful of function row keys dedicated to iPad buttons like the Home button, Search and Photos.

Much was made of the iPad's iWork suite of apps (Numbers, Pages, Keynote), a trio that I didn't test during my hands-on time. But I did get a chance to take the iBooks browser and shop for a spin, which rendered fake book pages beautifully, making customization of the page display simple.

While the iPad looks like a solid, shiny piece of technology right now, something new to covet and throw hundreds of dollars at, it hasn't yet made a third pillar convert out of me. The device is zippy and well built, improving many of the iPhone's better first party apps. Apple still has a few kinks to work out, a few interface improvements to make, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Naked Pictures of your friends - iPhone Applicaiton

Since Da had an iPhone to play with he's been downloading all sorts of games and application onto his iPhone....

Recently he was telling me about this cool application that you can sabotage your friend, take his/her pictures in a proper manner (something like a ID photo) and merge it successfully flawlessly with a nice naked body and be able to pass it off as "your friend's nude photo"...it even merge well with the background if you have a good "ID photo" taken...

As CH has said "google is your best friend..." I went and googled about it to see if I can find anything if there is really such an interesting application....to my amazement...I found out that the name of the apps is call "NUDE IT" made such a XXX and actually its only a scam....

The iPhone app that lets you see your friends naked....Interestingly if you show anyone the video below people will go wow is that real??

Everyone using the iPhone will be wishing that this is true...LOL...especially the guys hee...

Also, Presselite tells us exactly what we want to hear, legitimacy be damned. Here's the description they sent, which is the same one that appears in iTunes (emphasis mine):

"Nude It is a funny Augmented Reality application for the iPhone that lets you see through clothes. Simply point your iPhone at a friend (less than 6.5 ft / 2 m from you), and using Nude It scanning technology, you will see him or her totally in the nude. Please, note that you must clearly see your friend's face on the screen to get good results."

Tack on Apple's stamp of approval, Presselite's relatively legitimate reputation (previously, they've developed iPhone games and subway map apps), and our general human willingness to buy into things that sound too good to be true--especially if they involve nudity!--and it's no wonder "Nude It" has made such a splash.

Alas, it's all for naught. We bought and tested the app in the name of truth and justice, and we can exclusively reveal that it's a crock of sh*t. Here's how the description should read: "Simply point your iPhone at a friend or random Internet photo, and using basic AR technology, we'll superimpose a stock image of a chiseled body over his or her torso."

"Simply point your iPhone at a friend, and using Nude It scanning technology, you will see him or her totally in the nude."

This novelty app which I found dumber than a box of hammers, fails to deliver on the nudity promised by its developers in their App Store description. But it sure does make for a tantalizing headline.

I prefer watching the original Nude It iPhone video spoof (below) that inspired Presselite to lay this less than golden goose egg in the App Store.

I bought it, tested it and confirmed it blows. Take the buck you save on this app and offer it to your friends to shamelessly strip off their clothing and then just snap a regular photo. You'll have much more fun without trying to augment that awkward reality moment.

Turns out its just a scam....

According to www.CNet.com....it's technically incorrect..
